RELIGION

Choosing one’s faith, or lack there of, is an important decision. Your religion can determine what you do, how you do it, where you live, what you eat, how you dress, who you love, who you hate, whether you live at peace, or exist in traditional torment. If you’re fortunate, you’ll be able to choose and not have it chosen for you.

Religion is what keeps the human race from truly progressing and learning to live together in peace. The concept of Heaven and the afterlife is the cause of most of man's pain and suffering. In so many religions the afterlife is the drive for their thoughts and actions. A true-believer can slaughter his or her doctrine-declared enemy and feel proud knowing they will be rewarded in the afterlife. Praise your master, work for him, live for him, kill for him, die for him, and you will be received in that wonderful place to come.
If the place you want to be is somewhere else, then where you are is obviously inferior. This we are experiencing right now, according to some 'enlightened folk', is not really life. It's a step in the journey, a lowly rung on the ladder of ascension, a waiting room to Valhalla.
Is it any wonder we hate, war and waste our time with petty differences? We're disgusted with the tacky surroundings of our world. The human race is such a wanting and needy lot; we can’t appreciate what we have for desiring to have something we’ve heard is better. What a wonderful place this would be if we felt this was our only shot at life. Just think of how precious this time and existence would feel to us if we didn't tell ourselves there was an afterlife.

There is no doctrine or great book that rules me. I simply live my life the best way I know how letting my common sense assist me. I have no need for an omnipotent creator or father as the reason for everything. I don’t need an answer for everything. I don’t fear death anymore than I fear the coming of nightfall; It will happen, fear it or not. It's the potential pain of my death that makes me cringe.
I have a great respect and appreciation for my entire world. I have great respect and love for many individuals I have met, although I am weary and suspicious of most of the population and their traditional stupidity.
I go through basically the same trials and have the same pains as my fellow Earth-mates. Yet I can only imagine the need for so much power and control over everyone else by some individuals, is a reaction to how frightened, uncertain, and powerless they feel. "GET A GRIP!"- Life is hard! We all go through it.
I am just so glad to have experienced this simple life I lead, and plan to continue to experience the best parts of it while I'm here.

There is no mystery to life. It’s all very clear and simple. Life is time and space, what you do with it is up to you.

There is no god, no grand design- just a continuous flow of events, feelings and emotions. What more could you ask for?
